After years of repairs to address recurring roof leaks, this longtime Lindholm Roofing customer decided it was time for a more permanent solution. Our team was already familiar with the home and its roofing history, which made it easier to evaluate the ongoing problems and develop a plan for long-term protection.
The project involved more than simply replacing the roof. With trees surrounding the property and several exterior areas showing signs of age and moisture exposure, the homeowners also had an opportunity to improve drainage, protect the gutters from debris, and address other vulnerable areas around the roof and chimney.
Lindholm Roofing removed the aging roofing system and installed new architectural asphalt shingles, giving the home a fresh appearance and reliable protection from the elements. During the project, our team also inspected the wood and trim around the roofline for signs of trapped moisture or deterioration. Any compromised wood discovered during the work could then be removed and replaced rather than covered by the new roofing materials.
The home’s water management system received a significant upgrade as well. New aluminum gutters and downspouts were installed along with Bulldog gutter guards, which help keep leaves and other debris from surrounding trees out of the gutters while allowing rainwater to flow through the system.
Attention was also given to the chimney. New aluminum chimney flashing was installed to help prevent water intrusion where the chimney meets the roof, and a new crown coating was applied to help seal and protect the top of the chimney while improving its finished appearance.
New roof vents completed the roofing upgrades, helping support proper airflow and ventilation throughout the roofing system.
The result is a more comprehensive exterior solution rather than simply a new layer of shingles. From the architectural shingle roof and ventilation to the gutters, downspouts, gutter guards, and chimney protection, each component works together to help protect the home for years to come.
Repeated roof repairs can make sense when problems are isolated, but recurring leaks may eventually signal that it’s time to consider replacement. Lindholm Roofing can evaluate the entire roofing and drainage system to determine which repairs make sense and when a larger investment may provide better long-term value.
